Amoco Sharjah Spuds New Well
Amoco Sharjah Oil Company has spudded a new exploratory well - Uwaid-1 - which is to be drilled to a depth of 11,000-12,000 ft. The new well is located some 40 miles south of the main producing area of the onshore Saaga field in Sharjah. Meanwhile Amoco Sharjah, which is currently producing 55,000-60,000 b/d of condensate from Saaga, has announced that the capacity of the gas treatment plant at the field is to be raised from the current 160mn c.f.d....
