Iraq and France Renew 80,000 b/d Crude Oil Supply Deal
The two state-owned French oil companies CFP/Total and Elf/Aquitaine have agreed to renew the 80,000 b/d crude oil supply deal with Iraq which expires on 30 June for a further six months. As in the agreement for 1984/85 the French companies will each lift half the crudes with pricing being largely on a market-related basis (MEES, 27 August 1984).
