Jordan Considers Awarding Oil Exploration Concessions
In its effort to step up oil exploration activities in Jordan, the Jordanian Government is considering the possibility of awarding oil exploration concessions to foreign firms, according to a statement on 3 June by the Minister of Industry and Trade, Mr. Rajai al-Mu'ashir. The Minister told Reuters that "we are considering giving oil Concessions and we would welcome requests for concessions in Jordan."
