Egypt to Attain Targeted Output of 1mn B/D in FY 1985-86
Egypt's long-cherished target to produce 1mn b/d will be realized during the fiscal year July 1985-June 1986. According to reports from Cairo, the oil plans approved by Egyptian Oil Minister Abd El-Hadi Kandil for FY 1985-86 provide for an output of 50.1mn tons of hydrocarbons (about lmn b/d), comprising 45.5mn tons of crude oil and 4.6mn tons of gas and condensates.
