Dollar's Fall Accelerates Loss of OPEC Purchasing Power
As a result of the decline in the value of the dollar, the purchasing power of the oil exporters' revenues - already eroded by downward price pressure and falling volumes - is likely to decline by upwards of 15% in 1985, according to Mr. Philip K. Verleger of Charles River Associates (CRA) of Boston.
