AFESD Lends $280mn in 1984
The Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development (AFESD) provided 26 loans totaling KD84.2mn ($280mn) in 1984, according to the latest annual report of the Fund, an increase of 1.8% over 1983. Some 14 Arab states benefited from the aid, with 42% of the amount going to the least developed Arab countries. AFESD also provided 13 technical assistance grants worth a total of KDl.34mn ($4.45mn).
