Japanese Spot Purchases Fall in April and May
After reaching a record average of 1,299,000 b/d (some 32.5% of total oil imports) in the first quarter of 1985, Japan's purchases of spot oil dropped back to 985,000 b/d in April and 847,000 b/d in May, according to statistics published in Tokyo.
