UAE Trade Surplus Up 17.3% in 1984
The UAE had a trade surplus of Dh33.2bn ($9.0bn) in 1984, up 17.3% from Dh28.3bn ($7.7bn) in 1983, according to a recent report of the UAE Ministry of Planning. Exports in 1984 rose 1.2% to Dh60.0 ($16.3bn) from Dh59.3bn ($16.2bn) in 1983, while imports fell by 13.5% to Dh26.8bn ($7.3bn) in 1984 from Dh31.0bn ($8.4bn) in 1983.
