Low-Key Arab Presence in Bond Market
Arab bond houses kept a very low profile in the primary sector of the bond market during the last month, with only three issues managed. The only floating rate issue handled by Arab banks was a small subordinated issue for a second tier Swedish bank, Sundsvallsbanken. The $30mn issue matures in 1992 and carries a 0.25% spread over Libor, with Kuwait Asia Bank (KAB) and the National Bank of Kuwait (NBK)...
