Jordan Replaces Its Central Bank Governor
Muhammad Sa'id Shahin has been appointed Governor of the Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ) under a royal decree issued on 18 September. Mr Shahin replaces the outgoing governor Faris Sharaf, whose resignation was accepted by the cabinet earlier. Mr Sharaf, who was appointed to the post last November, said on 21 September that he was pushed into resigning after armed police surrounded the CBJs...
