Bank of Nova Scotia Pulls Out of Lebanon 

The Bank of Nova Scotia of Canada, which was first licensed to operate in Lebanon in 1965, announced at the beginning of September that it is terminating its operations in Lebanon. For this purpose it has agreed to transfer all its assets and liabilities to Banque Libano-Francaise and has advised all clients to contact the latter bank.
