Initial Testing Starts on Tobruk Refinery
Trial runs started in mid-August on a new 20,000-b/d refinery at Tobruk on Libya's northeast Mediterranean coast, according to the Libyan News Agency JANA. The refinery, which will probably use Sarir crude as feedstock, has a design capacity for the production of 3,043 b/d of gasoline, 1,400 b/d of jet fuel, 611 b/d of kerosene, 5,233 b/d of diesel oil and 9,333 b/d of heavy fuel oil.
