Oil Revenues Unaffected Says Central Bank Governor
The Governor of Iran's Central Bank, Mr. Mohsen Nourbaksh, has denied reports that Iran is suffering a loss of oil revenues as a result of Iraq's stepped-up attacks on Kharg Island. At a press conference in Tehran on 29 September, Mr. Nourbaksh said that in the Iranian month ending on 21 September Iran had earned $1.6bn from oil sales and that oil revenues for the month ending on 21 October were expected to total $1.4bn....
