US Grants Egypt $254mn
The United States has agreed to grant Egypt $254mn, according to two protocols signed on 3 October. The first agreement, for $250mn, constitutes the first installment of $500mn in one-time emergency aid (MEES, 12 August). The second agreement, for $4mn, covers a development training program.
