Syria Appoints New Oil Minister
In the new Syrian cabinet announced on 23 June, Sa'id Huneidi was appointed Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources to replace Sufian 'Alaw in the outgoing cabinet. Mr Huneidi studied petroleum engineering in the former USSR and holds an MSc degree.
