BP To Sign Gas Deal With Oman By September
Oman expects to sign a heads of agreement with BP by September over the terms of the 1bn cfd Khazzan-Makarem tight gas field project. It has already started ending gas subsidies to industrial users to make the project viable, and is eyeing increased LNG exports on the back of it – putting it ahead of other Gulf countries with difficult gas fields.
