NATO Making Gains In Battle Against Somali Piracy
Four years on from the deployment of the EU’s Naval Force off the Horn of Africa, the threat from Somali pirates appears to be on the wane, a NATO official said on 21 July. This comes on the back of a report from the International Maritime Bureau (IMB) which revealed a six month fall in world piracy, due largely to “a dramatic drop in Somali piracy.”
