Iraqi Output Set For Fresh Records But Challenges Pile Up

 

Iraqi crude production looks set to register a second successive post-1990 record in August, with southern exports during 1-28 August smashing through the 2.3mn b/d mark. If a pipeline explosion had not disrupted northern exports late in the month and if the Baghdad/Kurdish oil dispute were resolved, Iraqi production would now be exceeding all-time historic highs of close to 3.5mn b/d....
