Contractor Shortage Sets Back Libyan Production Ramp-Up
Two key Libyan producers, Italy’s Eni and Germany’s Wintershall, say that they do not envisage restoring full pre-war Libyan production until late 2013 at the earliest. Both Libya and IOCs had previously expected ongoing glitches to be ironed out by the end of this quarter. Difficulties finding contractors willing to operate in Libya have been further heightened post-In Amenas.
