EMAL Awards Generator Contracts To GE
Emirates Aluminum (EMAL) has awarded contracts amounting to $500mn to US firm General Electric for equipment to be used in the expansion of power generating capacity at its smelter complex and for long-term maintenance services at the expanded power plant. The Phase 2 expansion of the complex will involve increasing the site’s power generation capacity by 1gw to 3gw and improving operating efficiency.
