US Pressure Smothers Kurdish Oil Export Ambitions
The US has ratcheted up diplomatic pressure to resolve Baghdad’s oil dispute with the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) in recent weeks. With Iraqi politics in turmoil, nothing is certain.
But the indications so far are that Washington’s efforts to oppose any unilateral move on the part of Ankara and Irbil to impose an energy solution on Baghdad have been and continue to be effective.
