Korea’s KNOC In Line For ADCO Stake Despite Limited Experience
The UAE has extended a high degree of trust to South Korean engineering firms as it expands its energy capabilities, fostering a relationship between the two countries that has implications going into the January 2014 renewal of Abu Dhabi’s ADCO onshore oil concession. State firm KNOC stands a decent chance of bagging a minority stake despite a relative lack of upstream experience.
