Iran To Syria’s Financial Rescue, Again
The Central Bank of Iran (CBI) is to provide a $3.6bn credit line to the Central Bank of Syria (CBS) under an agreement signed in Tehran on 29 July.
The credit line will finance the import of oil products, Syrian state news agency Sana reports.
In return Syria will facilitate unspecified Iranian investments in various sectors of the Syrian economy.
