Orpic: Plastic Expansion
State-owned Oman Refineries and Petroleum Industries Company (ORPIC) is preparing to tender the first contracts to build a $3.6bn plastics project in the port of Sohar by 2018.
Feedstock will be propylene from ORPIC’s Sohar refinery after its expansion is completed, and natural gas liquids from a gas fields processing plant.
