Kuwait CDU Out Till Mid-Sept After Fire
Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) on 26 August said an 80,000 b/d crude distillation unit (CDU) at the Mina Abdullah refinery will be shut down for about three more weeks for repairs, following a fire on 21 August. The CDU is one of two at the refinery, which has a total throughput capacity of 270,000 b/d. A 40,000 b/d kerosene hydrotreater was also briefly shut down.
