Jordan: 1H13 Deficit Down
Jordan’s budget deficit (after foreign grants) in the first half of 2013 fell 25.5% to JD310mn ($437mn) from JD416 ($587mn) in the corresponding period of 2012, the Ministry of Finance said in a report on 22 August.
The fall in the deficit was attributed to a rise in foreign grants to JD433mn ($611mn) in first half 2013, compared to only JD25mn ($35mn) in the same period of 2012.
