Iraqi oil production has fallen sharply in the past week as a result of a leak at a key southern pipeline. Yet at the same time, Iraq has moved forward with plans to develop the Nasiriya integrated oil field and refinery project, and signed a letter of intent with BP to study further development options of the northern Kirkuk field.
