Sharara Races Towards Full Output

 

The shut in of production in eastern Libya – the majority of Libya’s pre-war output of 1.6mn b/d – has hit the government hard: an official said last month that the production slump since June had cost the government $10bn in revenues.

But the government has now received a significant shot up the arm as the Sharara oil field spluttered back into life on 5 January.
