Renewables remain a small source of electricity generation in the Middle East, according to the International Energy Agency (IEA), but are “starting to scale up.”

The IEA’s latest Medium-Term Renewable Energy Market Report says total electricity generated from renewable sources in the Middle East held steady last year at over 22TWh, or 2.5% of total power generated.
