Jordan is to take delivery of its first LNG cargo on 25 May, coinciding with the country’s Independence Day. The LNG will be shipped via the Golar Eskimo, which will operate as a floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU).

The facility arrived at the Ras Laffan liquefaction site in Qatar on 12 May, according to reports, and is scheduled to berth on 25 May at Jordan’s port of Aqaba – although some market sources are expecting this to be delayed to 28 May.
