Dana Gas on 28 February began output from the Zora gas field 35km offshore the firm’s home emirate of Sharjah in the UAE.

Output is “expected to” ramp up to 40mn cfd to be used to fuel power plants within Sharjah, achieving “cost savings from displacing part of the current sources which include [relatively expensive] diesel,” Dana, which operates with 100%, says.
