Iran raised gas output by more than 3bn cfd last year, but exports to key buyer Turkey are down. Everything is set for exports to Iraq – apart from the payments.

Iran last year hiked output from its flagship South Pars giant gas field, with the additional volumes being consumed domestically. Output was 14.8bn cfd in January 2016 (MEES, 15 January 2016), but officials say it has since risen 3.4bn cfd to 18.2bn cfd.
