Saudi Downstream Expansion Hits Snags

Saudi Arabia is forging ahead with a downstream expansion that could see almost 1.8mn b/d added to domestic refining capacity, but three flagship projects have hit snags, MEES learns. These include state-owned Saudi Aramcos first ever petrochemical projects at PetroRabigh and Ras Tanura and the Kingdoms planned first private refinery project, the 250,000-400,000 b/d Jazan plant.
