Nuclear authority clears the way for Egypt’s first ever nuclear plants.

Egypt’s House of Representatives this week approved three laws to enable Cairo’s Nuclear Power Plants Authority (NPPA) to oversee the construction of four planned nuclear power plants at Dabaa, 170km west of Alexandria on the Mediterranean coast, under an agreement with Russian state-owned nuclear power firm Rosatom.
