The Abour Energy JV of Saudi firm Xenel Industries and Dubai’s Amea Power has awarded Denmark’s Vestas an EPC contract for the 52MW Abour wind farm to be built at Tafila, 180km south of Amman. Vestas says the project was awarded in the Ministry of Energy’s first wind power auction, held during 2012-14.
