Qatar is expanding its LNG storage and export capacity to handle volumes slated to come online from 2024. Key contracts are to be awarded in early 2020.

Qatar Petroleum’s grand project to massively boost LNG capacity also requires a substantial expansion of ancillary functions. On 7 May, QP issued a call to tender for an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract covering storage, loading and export facilities. It plans to award the contract by February 2020.
