Dewa is targeting 42GW 'clean and renewable' generating capacity by 2050. Massive solar projects are underway. But nuclear and coal are also in the mix.

Dubai Electricity & Water Authority (Dewa) revealed on 9 June that its Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050 will require a power generation capacity of 42GW of “clean and renewable energy” by 2050. The state utility also said that 75% of Dubai’s total power output will be from “clean” sources by 2050....
