Canadian minnow Shamaran’s Q2 results presentation says that its Atrush field in Iraqi Kurdistan averaged 33,900 b/d in July, a new monthly record. Q2’s record average of 28,295 b/d looks set to be swiftly overhauled. Debottlenecking has raised processing capacity from 30,000 b/d to 34,000 b/d and is slated to reach 38,000 b/d in Q4. Meanwhile an early production facility is slated to add a further 10,000 b/d by year-end (MEES, 10 March).
