A politically charged deal signed 20 months ago to ship gas to Egypt from Israel’s two largest fields, Leviathan and Tamar, has been amended. Volumes have been increased but first gas delayed to 2020.

US firm Noble Energy and its key partner offshore Israel, domestic firm Delek, along with their partners in the 22tcf Leviathan and 11tcf Tamar gas fields announced this week that they have agreed to amend a supply deal with private Egyptian firm Dolphinus.
