US Increases Oil Imports From Iraq

The EIA said on 15 January that US oil imports from Iraq averaged 780,000 b/d during February, constituting the second highest monthly level since the invasion in the spring of 2003. The February figure is up 44%, or 237,000 b/d higher than the January average. The highest level registered since the invasion was 800,000 b/d in August 2004.
