Iraqi Tawke Crude Being Sold By KRG to Iran

Crude oil from Tawke field in the northern Iraqi region of Kurdistan is being sold to Iran by the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), according to a 31 December Platts report. The Baghdad government will not allow Tawke crude to be transported or refined by Iraqi state-owned companies, and so crude deliveries by truck into Iran are viewed as the only sales option.
