Jordan Approves East 'Amman Combined Cycle Power Plant

The Jordanian cabinet has approved the East 'Amman 370mw combined cycle power project which is estimated to cost $250mn. Construction will be carried out by AES and Mitsui and finance is to be arranged over the next five months. The project is due to start up in 2008.
