Turkey Plans First Nuclear Plant At Sinop

The Turkish Atomic Energy Institute (TAEK) on 12 April said it would build a pilot nuclear reactor in the region of Sinop on the Black Sea. The plant is to be ready within three-and-a-half years and will produce 100mw of electricity. TAEK head Okay Cakiroglu said Turkey would eventually construct three nuclear power plants at the site with a total capacity of 5,000mw. Work on those plants...
