Insurgency Cost Iraq $6Bn In Lost Oil Revenue In 2005
The insurgency in Iraq cost the country $6.25bn in lost oil revenue in 2005, the Oil Ministry said on 19 February. Some $3.12bn was lost from attacks on domestic pipelines transporting oil and gas, and $2.71bn from attacks on export pipelines. In addition, around $400mn was lost from explosions at oil wells and $12mn from attacks on pipelines connecting oilfields with refineries....
