Abu Zaabal Starts Work On Sulfuric Acid Plant
Construction work on a sulfuric acid plant started in Cairo on 1 February for Abu Zaabal Fertilizer and Chemical Company. The new 420,000 tons/year plant will cost $43.6mn and be operational in 18 months. Sulfuric acid is used in the production of steel, iron and fertilizers.
