Jordan Studies Importing Qatari LNG
Jordan is discussing building an LNG terminal at its Red Sea port of 'Aqaba to import 1mn tons/year of Qatari gas, according to Qatars al-Sharq newspaper. The countries have set up a committee to analyze the project, which may be a joint venture, and discussed it in early May at a meeting attended by Jordans Minister of Energy Khalid Tuqan and Qatargas head of marketing 'Ali al-Mutawa'.
