Jordans Finance Minister Resigns
Jordans pro-reform Finance Minister Basim 'Awad Allah resigned on 16 June under pressure from some conservative members of parliament who opposed his liberal economic views. Dr 'Awad Allah was appointed finance minister in April in the government of Prime Minister 'Adnan Badran. In February, he had resigned as planning minister, amid criticism from conservative deputies of his privatization program....
