Lebanon Still Awaits Arrival Of Syrian Gas
Syria appears to have decided to postpone, at least for the time being, the delivery of natural gas to Lebanon, via the 75km pipeline from Homs to Baddawi near Tripoli in north Lebanon, the construction of which was completed in March (MEES, 4 April). Under a sales agreement signed in late 2001, Syria was to supply gas to Lebanon at an initial rate of 1.5mn cu ms/day, rising to 6mn cu ms/day...
