Lukoil Marks 2Mn Tons Production At WEEM Block
Russias Lukoil on 26 July reported that since it entered Egypts onshore West Esh El-Mallaha (WEEM) Block in 2001, some 2mn tons (14.6mn barrels) of crude had been produced from the field. The block, located in the Eastern Desert and put into operation in 1998, is being developed by Lukoil Overseas and Egypts Eshpetco on a parity basis.
