Areva Awarded GCC Power Grid Contracts
Paris-based Areva Transmission and Distribution announced on 17 November it had signed two contracts with the Gulf Cooperation Council Interconnection Authority, totaling $233.5mn to build the Middle Easts first high-voltage direct current (HVDC) station and a fully integrated grid automation system.
